You Don’t Have to Hurry
Moving at God’s Pace
Sometimes the hardest part of alignment is trusting God’s pace.
We often think of progress as speed — moving quickly, solving problems immediately, and seeing results right away. But God’s pace rarely looks like ours.
His pace is steady.
Consistent.
Intentional.
Pace is not about rushing forward or standing still. It is about moving in step with God, trusting that His timing is never late and never wasted.
When we try to force our own pace, frustration usually follows. We grow tired, discouraged, or impatient because we cannot see what God is doing behind the scenes.
But Scripture reminds us that faithfulness is not measured by speed.
Galatians 6:9
New International VersionLet us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.
God’s timing often feels slower than we expect, but His perspective is very different from ours.
2 Peter 3:8–9
New International VersionBut do not forget this one thing, dear friends: With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day. The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you.
Waiting on God is not wasted time.
It is where strength is renewed.
Isaiah 40:31
New International VersionBut those who wait on the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not faint.
Alignment invites us to trust God’s rhythm.
Some seasons are for running.
Some seasons are for walking.
But every season has purpose when we move at the pace God has set.
Gem Takeaway
Natural sapphires form deep within the Earth through the slow cooling of magma. This measured geological pace allows their structure to develop strength, stability, and hardness over time.
In a similar way, spiritual growth often develops slowly. When we move at God’s pace instead of rushing ahead of Him, the strength He is forming within us becomes lasting and unshakeable.
Facets of Faith
Where might God be inviting you to slow down or trust His timing?
Ask Him to help you move at His pace instead of your own.
lasting and unshakeable.

I trust God’s timing and move forward at the pace He has set for my life.
