Week 3 — Perseverance
Aquamarine: Anchored in Truth, Moving in Obedience
In Week 1, we reflected on Amethyst — a member of the quartz family — and the peace that steadies us.
In Week 2, Rose Quartz, also part of the quartz family, reminded us of harmony and emotional balance.
Quartz ranks at a 7 on the Mohs scale of hardness — durable, reliable, and one of the most abundant minerals on Earth.
But this week, we transition to Aquamarine.
Aquamarine belongs to the beryl family, which ranks 7.5 to 8 on the Mohs scale — slightly harder than quartz and formed under more specific geological conditions.
Not louder.
Not flashier.
But steadier under pressure.
There are seasons that call us to evaluate how and why we are moving.
Not to strive from a place of anxiety,
but to move from a place of steady faith.
Aquamarine, known for its calming blue-green sea color, has historically been carried by sailors who believed it ensured safe passage across uncertain waters. It has also been referred to as the stone of courage and associated with mental clarity.
Making it the perfect companion to perseverance.
If we remain anchored in truth and continue in obedience, the movement will produce what God intends — even if it does not look the way we imagined.
This week, we explore perseverance.
Not as pressure to perform.
Not as hustle.
But as anchored movement.
In the days ahead, we will consider how self-care, change, transparency, discipline, and shared endurance shape that kind of perseverance.
