Rose Quartz: Beyond Performance
You were loved before you achieved — and that changes everything.
Week 2
What if the greatest barrier between you and peace isn’t your circumstances —
but your belief that you must earn love?
This week, we turn to another member of the quartz family: rose quartz, universally known as the “stone of unconditional love.” We will use it as an anchor to explore compassion, healing and emotional balance, gentleness, self-worth, and harmony.
Unconditional love is not simply a theme — it is the heart of God.
In Exodus 34:6–7, Moses has an intense encounter with God. It is here that God reveals His character — His heart.
The Amplified Bible reads:
Then the LORD passed by in front of him, and proclaimed,
“The LORD, the LORD God, compassionate and gracious, slow to anger, and abounding in loving-kindness and truth (faithfulness);
keeping mercy and loving-kindness for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin…”
The latter part of verse 7 reminds us that God is just — His holiness does not ignore sin. Yet the justice required under the law was fulfilled through Christ (Galatians 3:13), leaving us not under condemnation but under grace.
What remains is this unshakable truth:
God is compassionate.
God is gracious.
God is faithful.
God is loving.
And that does not fluctuate with our performance.
Why is it so hard to accept a love that does not change — even when our obedience does?
Yes, there are consequences for disobedience. But we often hold ourselves hostage by failing to separate who God is from what we do.
As we begin this week exploring God’s unconditional love, I urge you:
Let yourself off the hook.
Receive His grace.
Receive His mercy.
Take a deep breath.
Let it out.
Rest in what does not change.
You are okay — because God says so.
